Bob Jung Praised at HI Annual Meeting

24.04.2001

"During the past two years Bob Jung has done a fabulous job establishing the Associate Member Council," commented HI Chairman Ray Dunn, CEO, Floway Pumps, during the closing dinner at HI 2001 Annual Meeting in Palm Springs. Bob's term as chairman of the Associate Member Council ended at this meeting with the election of Leslie Hennessy, Lovejoy Inc. as the new Council chair. Bob is president of Trico Manufacturing.

Mr. Dunn continued noting that Mr. Jung, " working with the HI staff, has helped grow the program, accomplishing one of the most historic changes to the Institute's structure with great finesse. As chairman of the council, Bob has always emphasized a spirit of joint effort and mutual cooperation between the Associate members and the pump manufacturer members. He accepted the responsibility to find his own place and role in the association. He has been continually proactive in finding areas where he can contribute within the organization."

At the conclusion of his speech, Ray Dunn presented Bob Jung with a special leadership award. The HI Associate Member program, now with sixteen leading suppliers to the industry, has been fully integrated into the HI standards-writing process. Associate Members also regularly present educational sessions, participate in meetings and are in leadership positions within the Hydraulic Institute.
