Providing a much needed capability for pump users throughout the North East and Scottish Borders, AxFlow Durham marks an extension to the Company’s existing service and maintenance operation in Huddersfield, which already handles business throughout the Midlands and North of England. AxFlow also has significant operational bases in London and Aberdeen.

Located in new premises in the Evans Business Centre on Newton Aycliffe Industrial Park, AxFlow Durham is currently being fitted out with the requisite engineering elements required for repairing and, servicing all makes and types of pumps. The plan is to collect pumps from customers for remedial work to be undertaken at the plant, but where pumps cannot be removed from customers’ premises, onsite work will be undertaken.

Announcing this new development, AxFlow Technical Support Manager Mark Redgrove said that the new 1000s q.ft. facility can accommodate pumps weighing up to 500kg and will offer many of the maintenance services that the much larger Huddersfield Service Base provides. Facilities will include degreasing, shot blasting and a paint booth.

“Over the past two to three years we have experienced a considerable demand from all sectors of industry in the region for a localised, fast turn round pump maintenance service. By setting up AxFlow Durham with qualified pump engineering personnel, we are answering industry’s needs,” comments Mark Redgrove. “Where more complex procedures are required, or pumps exceed the weight restrictions, we shall continue to provide a full professional engineering service from Huddersfield.”

Being the largest independent distributor of positive displacement pumps in the UK, AxFlow is committed to providing all sectors of industry with an extensive range professional maintenance services, including the supply and installation of mechanical seals, from its regional locations.
