Achema 2012: World’s Trend-Setting Technology Summit with a New Hall Concept

12.11.2010

It is already evident that the 30th Achema in 2012 will be again the leading international meeting place for experts and decision-makers from chemical engineering, environmental protection and biotechnology.

Achema is already arousing intense interest on the part of exhibitors. The addition of the two-storey Hall 11 to the Frankfurt exhibition grounds has provided a welcome opportunity to showcase the individual exhibition groups better than ever before. Furthermore the western part of the exhibition grounds in particular benefits from the newly created entrance at Hall 11.

The distribution of the exhibition groups in the halls has been dramatically reorganized in order to cater better for their individual needs. This chiefly affects the exhibition groups Instrumentation, Control and Automation Techniques and Pumps, Compressors, Valves and Fittings which have been allocated far larger areas than hitherto. Laboratory and Analytical Techniques, Pharmaceutical, Packaging and Storage Techniques and also Mechanical Processes will similarly find the reorganization to their advantage.

"At first sight the hall allocation resembles a gigantic chess game", explains Thomas Scheuring, Head of the Exhibition-Congresses Department at Dechema, "but we are convinced that all concerned stands shall benefit from the reorganisation of the exhibition groups. Our strategy is based on the 2009 event which emphasized the international significance of Achema despite the fact that it took place in the middle of the global recession." In terms of exhibitors and visitors the 29th Achema was more international and successful than ever before. 46.6 percent of the 3,767 exhibitors and 25 percent of the 173,000 visitors came from abroad.

"Even though it is over 18 months until Achema 2012, exhibitor bookings are already well underway", Thomas Scheuring goes on to say. "The majority of exhibitors will have booked their stands by the end of 2010. Companies wishing to exhibit at Achema 2012 would be well advised to come to a decision as quickly as possible in order to secure a good stand location in the most suitable hall."
