ABS in UK Acquires Service Unit
ABS in UK has recently acquired Sparrow Water - a service company operating in the South West region of the UK - taking over both customers and staff. The acquisition is part of the group strategy to create sustainable customer relations and will help ABS in UK grow its service activities.
Sparrow Water is located 20 km from Bridgwater and is a company specialized in the supply, installation and service of pumps and other equipment for both clean and dirty water applications. The staff being transferred consists of 14 employees that are committed to both customers and the company. Among these are several highly skilled engineers providing 24 hours, 7 days a week service.
Sparrow Water has an excellent reputation with its customers and is perceived by the market as a solution provider. The largest customer, RoadChef, is provided with installations, service, monitoring and guaranteed performance across five of its sites within the UK “This fits exactly with our strategy of providing the complete service solution”, says Mark Bartlett, MD for ABS in UK. “The acquisition is a strategic move that will allow us to strengthen our position as solution provider in the South West region.”
