ABS Establishes A New Production Unit In China

ABS has decided to establish a new production unit in China in order to further strengthen its market position and competitiveness in the field of wastewater treatment. Establishment of the production unit will begin during the spring of 2010 and the unit is expected be in operation at the end 2011.

ABS Group is part of the Cardo group and the division Cardo Flow Solutions. Cardo Flow Solutions sells equipment for the transportation and treatment of wastewater under the ABS brand, among others. In recent years, ABS has strengthened its position in wastewater treatment in the Chinese market.

The production unit will be established in Kunshan, just outside Shanghai. At the production unit, pumps, compressors and mixers will be assembled for the market in China.

“The need for and expansion of wastewater treatment plants in China is extensive,” says Peter Aru, CEO of ABS. “With the new assembly plant, we are further strengthening our competitiveness and can continue our expansion in this market.”
