The scope of delivery includes submersible sewage pumps AFP for raw water and sludge recirculation, submersible recirculation pump RCP for MLSS (Mixed Liquor Suspended Solid) recirculation, flow booster SB for oxidation ditches and ABS Nopon disc diffuser system for both biological reactors and sludge digesters. The three WWTPs will treat a total flow of 360 litres per second.

During the bidding process between the contractors, ABS supported the customer in the selection of the most reliable and least power consuming equipment. ABS succeeded in this project by working with local municipal water authorities through technical sessions and supporting most of the contractors participating in the public bid.

"Being a true solution provider, offering a full package including e.g. pumps, mixers and aerators, ABS could provide the winner contractor, Géminis Group, with full equipment for three WWTPs", says Manuel Medina, Sales Manager, Mexico.

The contractor is satisfied with how ABS has handled the deal. "We chose ABS due to their reliable and rapid response", says Eng. Ricardo Montero, Chief of Engineers, Géminis Group.
