09.11.2001

Arranged by the Brazilian Pulp & Paper Technical Association (ABTCP), the Annual Pulp and Paper Congress & Exhibition in São Paulo, is the biggest technology meeting for Pulp & Paper Industries and suppliers.

"The event congregated more than 180 companies operating within the pulp and paper business area. The exhibition was a very important opportunity to establish new contacts and to be aware of new investments in this area", says Oscar Kirchoff, Sales Manager at ABS´ Brazilian Sales Company, Indústria de Bombas Centrífugas Ltda.

"We identified the continuity of investments in the pulp and paper industries and the strong interest of supplier companies to invest in the Brazilian market", Oscar Kirchhoff continues.

Pedro Alexandre, Service Center Manager, emphasises that more and more new opportunities have been provided to the ABTCP's exhibitors to show technological improvements on products and services aiming the pulp and paper process development in Brazil and Latin America. "The ABTCP really showed and confirmed the technological growth in the paper segment", he says.

Ricardo Cwikla, Pulp & Paper Salesman, means that this was an event where about ten thousand visitors were interacting among them to better understand and better know the most recent technologies, products and services, like our PMI System. "This surely helps to add competitiveness to the Brazilian pulp and paper sector", Ricardo Cwikla concludes.

The exhibition, which took place during week 43, was also a great opportunity for ABS to show and spread information about other products as well, such as BA, AFP, NB, the ContraBlock System, the Impeller Fun Pump and Seal cartridge.

Almost 10,000 visitors came to the exhibition, and this year´s exhibition was the second participation of ABS Brazil.
