A-C Pump Offers High Efficiency Horizontal Splitcase Pumps for Municipal Water Supply

29.10.2002

ITT A-C Pump (formerly Allis Chalmers Pump Company) offers the broadest line of single stage, double suction pumps available. Recently named "most preferred" double suction, splitcase pump by pump purchasers in the water / wastewater industry, these pumps are designed for a wide range of municipal and industrial applications, including high flow, low lift, raw water and wastewater.

The 8100, 9100, and 9800 Series feature double suction impellers to assure hydraulic axial balance and low thrust bearing loads. In-line suction and discharge flanges in the lower half casing simplifies piping. The upper casing half can be removed for easy inspection and maintenance without disturbing the driver or piping. The 8100, 9100, and 9800 are available with a choice of packing or a wide range of mechanical seals. They can be installed either horizontally or vertically, with clockwise or counterclockwise rotation.

There are over 100 sizes available in a variety of materials from bronze-fitted to all stainless steel. The splitcase lines offer capacities to 225,000 GPM (51,098 cm/h), heads to 850 feet (259m), temperatures to 275ºF (135ºC) and working pressures to 400 PSI (2758 kPa).
