Ekki Pumps Breaks Ground for new JV Factory in Coimbatore

Ekki Pumps India has announced that it will invest in a new plant in Coimbatore, India as the company prepares to start its Joint Venture with Homa Pumps of Germany. The new factory located in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu will manufacture parts for Homa’s global production lines and also produce cutting edge Waste Water Pumps for India and its neighboring markets.

German Consul General, Ms. Karin Stoll recently visited the upcoming new plant which will be Ekki’s fourth factory in Coimbatore, India.

Kanishka Arumugam Chief Executive of Ekki Homa said, “With major investment in manufacturing capacity in Germany and India, Both Ekki and Homa are very well placed to grow our business in the future”. Homa already has factories in Germany, France, Netherlands & Ireland. The production at the new facility will begin in 6 months’ time. It will house the most modern testing, painting and machining technology. It is a very important partnership for Ekki because it first establishes that the German partner chose Ekki among the other domestic players to be a partner. That put the stamp of approval and confidence that Ekki was clearly is one of the best in engineering & quality to partner a German Major. It is the only partnership they have done in the world. So it s truly a wonderful opportunity for Ekki.
German Consul General, Ms. Karin Stoll said “Ekki Homa is a true successful Indo-German partnership of how two family owned mittelstand companies can work together”. "It’s a matter of transferring decades of experience and expertise in the waste water pump manufacturing”. “It requires a lot of experience, high tech culture, investments and a long-term business plan."

The executive board of Homa sees in the cooperation a great chance to strengthen the Homa Group in its sustained growth strategy in a global environment.

Ekki said that this was a long term win-win situation given the entirely complementary and conflict free nature of the partners in brand positioning, market presence, product plans.

Changes to the Endress+Hauser Supervisory Board
