Pump Training Programme – June 2014
CDR Pumps are providing reliability focussed training to a number of customers. The training sessions are structured for Project Engineers, Maintenance Engineers and purchasing professionals who are users of pumps and are involved in the operation of pumps, plant problem solving, reliability or plant improvements.
The hands on practical approach is designed to give opportunity for improving plant reliability. The course will cover the following key subjects:
- Pumping fundementals - giving an understanding of how pumps operate, and the effects pumping systems have to rotating equipment Pump design. Looking at the key design features of centrifugal pumps, the important bits and principal of how they work reliably
- Pump strip - stripping down pumps with hands on experience for participants and also rebuilding, highlighting the key critical aspects.
- Problem solving - troubleshooting looking at vibration, power consumption, vibration, duty variations and how pump performance is linked to the process plant
- Failure analysis - looking at modes of failure, the causes, the indicative signs of wear, the remedy and cost effective protection.
Courses take place at CDR Pumps UK Ltd offices in Wellingborough, and is a full day course, commencing 9.30am, and finishing at 3.30pm with lunch provided for candidates.
