Fifth Calgary Pump Symposium Scheduled for November 2013

The fifth Calgary Pump Symposium is scheduled for November 7th and 8th, 2013.

Two 1-day courses and four half- day courses are scheduled for November 7 at the Suncor facilities located at downtown Calgary. The training courses shall cover fundamentals of:

Centrifugal pumps, Mechanical seal, PD pump, Slurry pump, Motor and Steam turbine.

On November 8th there will be a day-long symposium and trade show at The Carriage House Inn, Calgary south. Twelve presentations by users, manufacturers and engineering firms will cover various types of pumps, applications, packaging, operational and maintenance issues.

Four discussion groups will provide technical information on many aspects and issues related to surface pump technology as used in Western Canada (Installation, Vendor documents, Storage, Materials, NPSH, ABSA etc.)

In conjunction with the presentations on November 8 th there will be a Trade Show with 15 to 18 displays pertaining to pump technology at The Carriage House Inn.
