Processing Pros Seek Innovation at 2013 Chem Show
From the very first event in 1915 when the famous inventor Thomas Edison came looking for inspiration, the Chem Show has been widely recognized as a leading source of innovation for the Chemical Process Industries (CPI).
Chem Show
Nearly a century ago, the then fledgling U.S. chemical industry was under threat of having its supply of European raw materials cut off during World War I. To meet this challenge, the First National Exposition of the Chemical Industries was born. Edison, along with domestic equipment manufacturers and chemical producers attended the event.
That proud tradition of providing inspiration and innovation to meet the challenges faced by CPI professionals will continue December 10-12 at the 98th anniversary of the Chem Show in New York City when over 300 exhibiting companies will showcase the latest process equipment and technology to more than 5,000 process engineers, production/plant personnel and executives from companies across the CPI. With a multi-faceted Conference Program sponsored by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and hundreds of products on the exhibit floor, attendees will come to see and learn about the latest solutions to increase process efficiency, reduce energy costs and create more sustainable operations.
Although Thomas Edison would truly be amazed by what he could see and learn at this year’s exposition and conference, the mission of the Chem Show remains the same as it did in 1915 - to bring CPI suppliers and end-users together to find solutions to their challenges.
The 55th biennial event will take place December 10th – 12th at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
