AxFlow Acquires Thames Valley Pumps
AxFlow Limited has announced that it has acquired Thames Valley Pumps (TVP), Windsor. The friendly acquisition will see TVP continue providing pump sales, service, repair and maintenance to pump users from its established premises operating as ‘AxFlow Windsor’ under the existing management team of Frank Moszkal and Bob Jervis.
Announcing the acquisition, AxFlow Limited Managing Director Tony Peters said: “As a leading supplier of pumps in the GB, it is essential that we keep pace with the changing needs of our customers who wish to single source both pumps and pump servicing. Thames Valley Pumps is a successful business that mirrors our pump maintenance and repair operations in Huddersfield and Aberdeen. The highly skilled engineering resources built up by TVP over 13 years will enable AxFlow to further develop its service support facilities to customers throughout the South and open up new and exciting opportunities for the Windsor operation.”
AxFlow Limited is part of the international Axel Johnson Group, which has an annual turnover approaching £2 billion and 17,000 employees. In Great Britain, the Company has enjoyed continuous growth for the past seven years and the acquisition of TVP demonstrates its long term commitment to provide ‘local’ pump service throughout the whole of the country.
“This acquisition will position us as the number one provider of pumps and service repairs in the South of England and assist us in strengthening our nationwide network of service/repair sites,” continued Tony Peters. “It makes great business sense to bring the two companies together because it means that AxFlow will have the engineering skill-set to repair almost any type of pump both at the Windsor base and at customers’ premises. Equally as important, both organisations will be able to benefit from sharing their collective knowledge and experience of very different markets in which they have operated for many years.”
Speaking on behalf of TVP, Frank Moszkal commented: TVP is an established company with 22 employees and a reputation for supplying first class products, service and support for its customers. Now the time is right to become part of a much larger organisation that can give us the support and financial strength to move the business into a greater customer base and gain increased market share.”
Concluding, Tony Peters said: “This development is a great move for both companies and all our employees. It will also bring significant benefits for all our customers across the South, who will be able to access a wider range of services and faster response times, plus the ability to source a wider range of pump types and solutions.”
AxFlow has established business operations in London, Aberdeen and Huddersfield. In September the Company opened a new service facility in County Durham to support industry across the Northeast of England and the Scottish Borders.
