New DEPA Valve Cuts Companies’ PTFE Diaphragm Costs
A revolutionary new valve which is designed to significantly increase the life of PTFE diaphragms in all air-operated diaphragm pumps has been launched by, CRANE ChemPharma Flow Solutions.
The new DEPA Slow Start Valve increases the operational life of all air-operated diaphragm pumps.
The innovative, DEPA Slow Start Valve significantly reduces wear and downtime by controlling the initial start-up speed of air operated diaphragm pumps, and decreases shock and stress levels placed upon equipment. A simple adjustment on the valve allows air to gently feed into the pump whilst greatly improving suction lift.
This means that all air operated diaphragm pumps fitted with the new valve benefit from increased diaphragm life, saving manufacturers’ across all sectors considerable expense.
UK Sales Manager, David Lindsay, commented, “The DEPA Slow Start Valve allows operators to gently feed compressed air into the pumps, eliminating shock, material stress and sudden pressure pulses. This significantly reduces wear on the diaphragms and allows for longer operational life times of all air-operated pumps.
“Installation is straight forward, and can be easily retro-fitted to existing installations. Many of our current customers in the pharmaceutical industry are now realising the financial and operational benefits of the new valve as it can be used across all applications and all brands.”
The Slow Start Valve offers full Atex compliance for use in hazardous conditions and is compact and lightweight to allow for easy fitting in existing application.
