IIR Exhibitions Acquires Business Assets of HQ Link
IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd has acquired the business assets of HQ Link Pte Ltd, the leading Exhibition Organiser in Asia, with effect from 3rd July 2007.
As part of its strategy to further penetrate and grow its Asia’s business, IIR Exhibitions has acquired 3 clusters of exhibitions currently produced by HQ Link thereby doubling its own portfolio in Asia.
These clusters include the Industrial Series in PS/HVAC (Pumps, Valves, Compressors & Systems; heating, ventilation, air conditioning) currently held in Singapore, China, Vietnam and India; the Maritime series exhibitions are organised in China, Vietnam and Malaysia, whilst the Career & Education exhibition is held in Singapore annually.
The acquisition of the HQ Link’s business events is part of IIR’s overall business strategy to expand into Asia. IIR Exhibitions will invest significant financial and staff resources into these series of newly acquired events to further secure the events’ position as the leading exhibitions in Asia. These exhibitions have enjoyed tremendous support from key industry organisations, government & associations, which IIR Exhibitions will continue to keep in close contact to seek their support and advice to produce the best events for the whole industry.

In March, Informa announced its 2006 interim results showing an impressive 42% increase in revenue with a turnover £1,039 billion, and overall strong trading across all three divisions. Operating profit was up 49% to £219 million.
