Siemens Introduces New “View-at-a-Glance” LC 150 Pump Controller

16.12.2005

Siemens has introduced the LC150 Pump Controller, the newest addition to the family of "View-At-A-Glance" controllers. The LC150, designed specifically for pump station applications by the Siemens company USFilter, offers a simple, reliable and cost effective solution for operators.

The new Nema 4 rated "View at a Glance" operator interface is designed to provide all necessary information for operating and maintaining a pumping system.

After extensive customer interviews, engineers at USFilter Control Systems combined the best features of the original D-Series controllers with the most advanced features in the industry.

The most significant enhancement to the LC150 is that it is shipped "telemetry ready". With the addition of a radio, phone line connection, or connection to a high speed Ethernet interface (with the Ethernet option), the LC150 allows operators to monitor station status, change pump start and stop setpoints, change high and low level alarm setpoints, acknowledge alarms, and view pump run, fail, and performance information.

Another enhancement to the LC150 is the time and date stamped Alarm/Event Log, providing operators with historical information to analyze pump performance and system failures.

The LC150 was designed to incorporate multiple levels of security protection. Unauthorized modification of the LC150's controlling parameters is prevented by enabling a password protection system.

The Control Systems line of products and services offered by USFilter includes the water, wastewater and process industry's best-known systems for instrumentation and control, including measurement/instrumentation products, control/telemetry/automation products and SCADA systems for water and wastewater treatment facility automation, water distribution monitoring and control, collection system monitoring and control and wastewater effluent and re-use.

Chlorine Gas Systems: New Electric Safety Valve Makes the System Safer

13.12.2024 -

Chlorine gas plays a key role in the disinfection of drinking and industrial water. However, handling the chemical can pose considerable health risks – from irritation of the eyes to fatal pulmonary oedema. To further improve occupational safety during use, Lutz-Jesco has developed the VakuStop – a vacuum regulator for dosing systems that is equipped with an emergency stop function to prevent uncontrolled chlorine gas leaks directly at the chlorine gas tank in the event of an emergency.
