Advanced Materials for Fluid Machinery

22.01.2004

The Fluid Machinery Group of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) has organized the 2nd International Symposium of Advanced Materials for Fluid Machinery to be held on February 26, 2004.

The organisers have assembled several top experts in advanced materials to report about the latest in research, development and application. They will review:

  • The increasing availability and improvement of superior materials over the last 10 to 15 years, moving from niche markets to a wide field of applications.
  • The advancement of materials from the experimental stage to the point where they can make real contributions to machine life and reliability.
  • New, developing or non-traditional materials which have

real potential for future reduction in life cycle costs of fluid machinery.

The programme will be of value to all those involved in materials for fluid machinery, including makers and users, material suppliers and appliers, refurbishers, contractors, consultants, materials specialists and researchers.
