Installation of Pumping Stations by Hidrostal

Hidrostal Limited, the Newbury based manufacturer and supplier of pumping solutions, has successfully completed the mechanical and electrical installation of two foul pumping stations at the Castlepoint Centre redevelopment in Bournemouth, Dorset.

Hidrostal were commissioned by Midland Slurry Systems Limited, a company that specialises in the implementation and management of systems for moving animal and vegetable waste and the company responsible for managing the effluent disposal for the Castlepoint Centre site. Hidrostal were selected because of their overall expertise.

As Peter Russell Managing Director of Midland Slurry Systems explained “when undertaking projects of this kind you need to have a round of people who are specialists in their field and will back-up and support you. Hidrostal succeed on all counts. Their engineers are knowledgeable and their products are first-class. They are able to take responsibility for everything from initial sizing and design of the pumps through to installation and testing, as they did at Castlepoint.”

The project consisted of building 2 pumping stations and all the ancillary pipework which was installed with buttfusion welded joints. Hidrostal supplied and installed for each pumping station, two 4” submersible pump sets, ultra sonic level controls, electric control panels and all station pipework including valves to connect to the rising mains.
