Pentair Names Frederick S. Koury Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Pentair announced that it named Frederick S. Koury, 42, to the position of senior vice president of Human Resources effective August 11, 2003. Koury was also named an executive officer of the corporation.
"Fred will be instrumental in attracting, developing and retaining quality talent at all levels to support Pentair's growth objectives and strategies," said Randall J. Hogan, Pentair chairman and chief executive officer. "In addition, his 20 years of Human Resources experience will provide valuable counsel to the human resources professionals of Pentair's operating units."
As leader of Pentair's Human Resources function, Koury will be accountable for short- and long-range organization and human resources planning; compensation plans; employee benefits; employee relations; management development and training programs; and for the creation and maintenance of an effective succession planning program. A critical aspect of Koury's duties will be to help craft and execute strategies to drive Pentair's Talent Management initiative.
Koury has served as vice president of human resources for the Victoria's Secret Stores division of Limited Brands since September, 2000. From 1985 to 2000, he held a series of progressively responsible Human Resources positions with PepsiCo, Inc., during which he held wide-ranging responsibilities in human resources, talent management, labor relations, organization capability, and leadership development. Koury's prior experience includes two years with Chase Manhattan Bank. Koury holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, and is a member of the University's Center for Advanced Human Resources.
