A large steel manufacturing company has experienced longer pump life and lower maintenance since installing Qdos chemical metering and dosing pumps in a defoamer application at an industrial plant in Ontario, Canada. The company has benefited from a higher return on investment (ROI) since two Qdos peristaltic pumps replaced diaphragm pumps from another pump manufacturer.

ProMinent has now had all its low pressure metering pumps certified for food contact under Regulation (EC) 1935/2004. The company can therefore provide solutions for applications in which materials and objects come into direct contact with foodstuffs.

Trials with Watson-Marlow’s new Conveying Wave Technology (CWT) pump at a water treatment plant in north-west France proved it was ideal for meeting abnormally high pressure constraints, explains Philippe De Miranda, industrial sales engineer, Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group, France.

Recently, two ABEL HMD pumps were commissioned at a customer in Normandy specializing in recycling and soil reclamation. The pumps serve as a filter press feed pumps at a maximum flow rate of 80 m³/h – 12 bar.
