ABS Launches High-Tech AQUALEVEL® Range

17.04.2003

Control and monitoring systems for pumping stations and treatment plants: The trend in the market goes for data transfer and remote-controlled pumping stations to save capacity costs, ensure early failure warning, reduce maintenance costs, comply with laws and regulations and avoid costly malfunctions like overflows.

ABS Launches High-Tech AQUALEVEL® Range

ABS has been offering electrical control units of all sizes for pumping stations, stormwater schemes and alike for more than 40 years. With the launch of AQUALEVEL®, ABS now presents a full range of controllers and telemetry systems which - together with ABS’ pumps, mixers, aerators and service solutions - enable the manufacturer to supply complete pumping stations and treatment plants.

The core of the AQUALEVEL® range is the process visualisation software AquaVision™. AquaVision™ can handle hundreds of pumping stations via up to 32 communication lines at the same time. The software offers alarm and database handling, process visualisation and reporting, and supports a large number of controllers & brands.

The AQUALEVEL® range further includes controllers PC2 (for two pumps), PC4 (four pumps) and PCx (multiple pumps). The AQUALEVEL® PC2 and PC4 are microprocessor based level pump controllers. PC4 also offers telemetry options and flow calculation features. The AQUALEVEL® PCx is an even more advanced and powerful control system which is scalable, flexible and modular. It is suitable for applications like small and medium size sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants, booster pressure stations, sewage pumping stations, etc. The PCx as well as the PC4 can be connected to the user-friendly configuration software AquaProg™.

Furthermore, ABS offers the AQUALEVEL® SMG which is a compact pump controller for 1 or 2 pumps up to 11 kW with a plug in telemetry feature.

The AQUALEVEL® range also includes modern level pressure sensors as opposed to mechanical level switches or pneumatic sensors. AQUALEVEL® HSC and HSR are high precision hydrostatic level sensors and the HPC is a high precision pressure transducer for direct attachment to sewage pipes.

“With the new AQUALEVEL®, ABS is offering a complete solution to its customers, so that they can measure, monitor and control pumping stations as well as small wastewater treatment plants” says Joseph Azzopardi, Water & Wastewater Marketing Director at ABS. “This new range is yet another example of what we mean by cost-effective pumping, and I am convinced our customers will benefit from this new technology that affects life cycle costs in a very positive way.”
