IDEX Corporation Appoints James S. Dahlke As Vice President – Group Executive – Pumps

01.10.2002

IDEX Corporation announced James S. Dahlke has been named vice president - group executive for pumps. Dahlke succeeds Rodney L. Usher, who is retiring at the end of this year.

Dahlke, 52, will report to Dennis K. Williams, IDEX's chairman, president, and chief executive officer. He will oversee these business units: Knight, Liquid Controls, Micropmp, Pulsafeeder, Rheodyne, Versa-Matic, Viking, and Warren Rupp. Dahlke will work at the company's headquarters in Northbrook.

Commenting on the appointment, Williams said, "Jim has a background in pump company leadership, as well as in top management positions in other industries. This makes him uniquely suited to lead our pump businesses as they further leverage global growth and internal synergy opportunities. Jim's proven results at companies serving global markets - and his extensive experience in sales, marketing, and manufacturing - should help us implement our strategic growth initiatives and continue to expand this group's sales, markets, and margins.

"We also want to express our appreciation to Rod for his 21 years of significant contributions at Warren Rupp, Pulsafeeder, and within the pump group," Williams added.

Dahlke has 14 years of experience as a company or division president. Most recently, he was president of the Office Products Division of Knape & Vogt in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Prior to that Dahlke served as president and chief executive officer of Harrow Industries and Medalist Industries, as well as president of Waukesha Fluid Handling Group, which was then part of United Dominion Industries. He holds an undergraduate degree in management science from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh.
