Non-contact operation, wear free and powerful

08.07.2002

Rietschle as a company, have always responded to the demands of the market place by utilising new concepts and developing new products, whilst still maintaining its traditional virtues - reliability, efficiency and high performance. The best proof of this is the development of COVAC - the new multi- stage unit available in three capacities.

Compression is achieved by the dynamic side channel principle and is totally non-contacting and fluid free. Due to the absence of sliding friction between impellor and housing, the flanged impellors can not wear and maintenance therefore becomes negligible because there is no oil to change or vanes to replace and ultimately the environment is protected because of the production of totally clean vacuum or blast air.

Multi-stage design offers major advances

By mounting the specially developed side channel impellors in a graded series, it has been possible to achieve remarkable ultimate pressures. The vac-uum pump SMV can achieve an ultimate vacuum of max. 60 mbar (abs.) (60 Hertz) and the SMD compressor an over pressure of max. 2 bar. The steel casing on this Rietschle design enhances the cooling effect of the pumping units as well as providing reduced noise levels and protecting against the build up of dust.
