NEW WILO PUMPS IMPROVE SOLAR SYSTEM PERFORMANCE

21.05.2002

Wilo Salmson is launching two new pumps for solar heating systems, the Wilo-Star ST 15 and Wilo-Star ST 25. Designed for LowFlow and HighFlow solar heating systems respectively, the new pumps are being launched in the UK following proven success in Germany, where they are employed in both domestic and commercial applications.

Wilo-Star ST 25 features a cast iron body and fibre reinforced PP impeller to meet the demands of HighFlow systems.

Both models have low energy consumption, low noise level and are constructed of corrosion resistant materials to enhance performance and provide a level of output not usually associated with such compact mechanisms.

It is hoped the pumps will prove to be as popular in the UK as they are in Germany, particularly in light of government legislation designed to encourage the use of environmentally friendly methods of heating such as low noise solar systems that offer minimal energy consumption.

Chlorine Gas Systems: New Electric Safety Valve Makes the System Safer

13.12.2024 -

Chlorine gas plays a key role in the disinfection of drinking and industrial water. However, handling the chemical can pose considerable health risks – from irritation of the eyes to fatal pulmonary oedema. To further improve occupational safety during use, Lutz-Jesco has developed the VakuStop – a vacuum regulator for dosing systems that is equipped with an emergency stop function to prevent uncontrolled chlorine gas leaks directly at the chlorine gas tank in the event of an emergency.
