Wilo´s new MD set to drive company forward

25.04.2002

Wilo Salmson Pumps Ltd has announced the appointment of Stuart Herritty as its new managing director. Benefiting from a wide range of industry experiences spanning over 15 years, Stuart will ensure the company enjoys continued growth through technical innovation and a dedication to high levels of customer care.

"It's obviously very exciting to join a company like Wilo, which has a strong reputation and proven track record for developing products that help companies cut energy costs," Stuart explained. "However, this also represents a considerable challenge as we attempt to maintain and exceed the high standards set by my predecessor. Yet, with a continued focus on developing environmentally-friendly products, I believe we can meet the ever-changing specifications laid down by a increasingly-demanding market."

Stuart arrives from Chaffoteaux et Maury - one of the world's leading innovators in combination boilers - where he was general manager. Originally, qualified as an engineer, Stuart has developed his career through a number of sales, marketing and general management roles, including a prominent position on the board of Spur Shelving.

Educated to degree level, Stuart is married with two children and has a passion for golf. He says his appointment at Wilo came at the right time in his career. "When you're in charge of a company that manufactures in excess of five million domestic heating circulator pumps every year, you've got to know the market inside out. My career has been based around the accumulation of knowledge and at Wilo I will be able to use my experience to drive the company forward."
