New Submersible Pumps with shredder

25.01.2002

The new submersible pumps of Caprari's MAT series with shredder become indispensable, when small isolated areas are far from the sewer system and in those particular situations where the installations is often expensive by using a gravity system. Economic and reliable grinder pumps, they represent the best solution for low capacities.

These series of grinder pumps are particularly used in civil and industrial sewage plants. They have been designed to pump the liquid at high head with very low capacity. The cutter unit, in a special hard stainless steel, allows for cutting into small pieces threadlike materials container in the liquid. As the risk of clogging is avoided small diameter pipes are used.

Applications

These pumps can be used to lift the sewage of blocks of flats and villas, small isolated areas far from the sewer system; the sewage of hotels and campsites ecc.

Operating data

- Capacity up to 4 l/sec (75 U.S.g.p.m.)

- Manometric head up to 40 m (100 ft)

- Power up to a 2,2 kW

(3 HP)

About Caprari

Caprari was established in early 1945 by Amadio Caprari, current President of the Company, in Rolo, a small country town in the Italian province of Reggio Emilia known since mediaeval times, when it was called "Arolum".

The renowned technical skill Caprari applied to water management produced an idea that quickly proved to be well founded: development of innovative centrifugal pumps in order to open up and conquer a strategic market through full and on-going evolution. In just a few years, the small workshop became a specialised industry, an international market leader in Italy and the world.

A fully mechanised production system plus on-going research and development of new technologies allowed Caprari to branch out. After having designed and industrialised manufacture of centrifugal pumps mainly for agricultural use, Caprari developed a first-rate know-how, operating in diversified sectors and becoming a leading Company, on an international scale, for all the varied problems concerning integrated water management:

- from aqueducts to water treatment and depuration

- from industrial processes to leisure time use.

Today, Caprari is a group that employs over 600 persons and has:

three manufacturing companies in Italy:

- CAPRARI S.p.A. (Modena) - production of pumps and centrifugal electric pumps

- SWM S.p.A. (Rubiera - RE) - submersible motors

- FONDMATIC S.p.A. (Crevalcore - BO) foundry

Four subsidiaries in important European countries

Various licensees and joint ventures in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East

A dealership and service network that covers 70 countries in all continents.

Chlorine Gas Systems: New Electric Safety Valve Makes the System Safer

13.12.2024 -

Chlorine gas plays a key role in the disinfection of drinking and industrial water. However, handling the chemical can pose considerable health risks – from irritation of the eyes to fatal pulmonary oedema. To further improve occupational safety during use, Lutz-Jesco has developed the VakuStop – a vacuum regulator for dosing systems that is equipped with an emergency stop function to prevent uncontrolled chlorine gas leaks directly at the chlorine gas tank in the event of an emergency.
