PCM Moineau I Series for processing bone meal

20.09.2001

Due to the ban on the use of bone meal in foods intended for bovine species, industrial companies came to use incineration notably in cement kilns.

The search for an efficient and economical solution :

The transfer of bone meal requires pumps that are especially robust. It must be possible to increase pressure easily and to convey more or less homogeneous products that may at times be hot. The bone meal is mixed with animal fat, also prohibited for consumption, which makes the mixture combustible. These pumps must also provide a highly competitive quality-price ratio, as the bone meal has no added value for the cement works; it merely serves as fuel.

Series I, the multi-purpose pump par excellence :

The Series I, from the PCM Moineau line, provides a solution that is suited to pumping this viscous mixture which involves significant pressure losses. Its operating temperature fluctuates between 0°C and 110°C. The pump discharge pressure will reach 200 bar and its flow rate 300 m3-h.

Robustly designed, this pump is used in all industrial environments to transfer clear, viscous, abrasive, heterogeneous, thick or emulsifying liquids.

Renderers (Caillaud), cement manufacturers (Calcia) and manufacturers of burners are just some of the many clients who call on the services of PCM Pompes to provide a solution to their pumping requirements in bone meal and animal fat processing. Consistent with their approach of providing support to industry, "From pumps to process", PCM Pompes is committed to providing competitive technical solutions for this rapidly expanding market.

Chlorine Gas Systems: New Electric Safety Valve Makes the System Safer

13.12.2024 -

Chlorine gas plays a key role in the disinfection of drinking and industrial water. However, handling the chemical can pose considerable health risks – from irritation of the eyes to fatal pulmonary oedema. To further improve occupational safety during use, Lutz-Jesco has developed the VakuStop – a vacuum regulator for dosing systems that is equipped with an emergency stop function to prevent uncontrolled chlorine gas leaks directly at the chlorine gas tank in the event of an emergency.
