Mono Pumps´ Deliver a quiet revolution in sewage handling at Essex County Schools

03.09.2001

Schools in Essex are undergoing a quiet revolution in pumping technology as high performance Mutrator units from Mono Pumps are introduced into the sewage handling systems to replace noisy ejector pumps.

The upgrade programme is being carried out by Essex County Council who turned to leading pump and compressor contractor, H & M Compressors and Pumps Ltd and Mono Pumps Ltd for their pumping equipment.

Essex County Council needed to find a replacement for the old style ejector pumps installed in schools across the county, which are large, noisy and are subject to high maintenance costs. Meadgate Primary School in Great Baddow was the first school to have the Mutrator installed. The installation has proved to be very successful and since then Essex County Council has installed the Mutrator into a number of other schools in the county where it provides an effective low noise solution.
