Retrofit Contract from Russia

30.05.2001

Following project work over a period of nearly two years, Sulzer Pumpen (Deutschland) GmbH has been awarded a contract for the modernization of the boiler feed pumps at the Novocherkasskaya Gres power plant. The generating station is located near Rostov-on-Don and consists of a total of 8 blocks with unit ratings of 300 MW.

The contract provides for the retrofit of the first three feed pumps. The first machine will be delivered in spring 2002. Among other things, the references for the Mosenergo power plants and the high local share of the project were decisive factors for the award of the contract. Sulzer Pumps has also modernized feed pumps for Mosenergo, the biggest energy generating utility in Russia.
