Stainless Steel and Block-Style Pumps Offer Greater Application Flexibility

31.01.2001

CAT PUMPS has responded to the ever-increasing demand for pump longevity, by expanding its 316 SS product line with both cast and block-style models. Designed for intense, continuous-duty applications such as salt-water reverse osmosis system, industrial wastewater treatment, salt-water high-pressure ship hull blasting, a special clean-room sanitizing, CO2 parts cleaning or an energy-conservation misting, CAT PUMPS has a Stainless Steel pump to meet the need.

All models offer a near maintenance-free operation, and incorporate the standard long life components found in all CAT PUMPS: the concentric, high-density, polished, solid ceramic plungers and the specially formulated Hi-Pressure Seals, housed in the 316 Stainless Steel cast [SS] or block-style [SSLB] manifold head, offering unmatched wet-end performance life; a chrome-moly forged crankshaft and the special high-strength connecting rods assure exceptional performance from the drive-end.

The cast stainless steel models now deliver up to 70 GPM @ 1000 PSI. Special Block-style models offer a machined 316SSL block head with optional flushing and cooling ports for containment of effluent emissions and high inlet pressure capabilities for fluids such as CO2.

Any of these models are available as a custom designed and tested Power Unit that includes a heavy-duty 2 mill epoxy powder coated, 3/8" steel base with 1/4" channel steel bracing, drive (electric, gas, hydraulic, gearbox or diesel), pump, pulleys, belts, and system accessories.
