LEWA: New Diaphragm Pump Head Series with PTFE Diaphragm

06.12.2000

The recently developed high pressure series M 800 reaches pressures of up to 800 bar using a PTFE sandwich diaphragm and opens up new application fields for hermetically tight, leakage-free diaphragm pumps.

The previous pressure range of 350 bar - for higher pressures metal diaphragms had to be used - is clearly exceeded. The performance range of the M 800 series goes up to 50 m3/h per pump head.

The PTFE diaphragms which have a considerably longer service life compared to the metal diaphragms used up to now and the higher flow rate compared with the regular technology offers clear advantages regarding operating costs in the pressure range > 350 bar.

Due to the freely oscillating PTFE diaphragm the M 800 series, for the first time, smoothly conveys suspensions and fluids with a viscosity of up to 100.000 mPas also in the high pressure range. They operate dry and are overload safe, have high metering accuracy and work very economically. The diaphragm monitoring system of the PTFE sandwich diaphragms offers additional safety.

Qdos Chemical Metering Pump Runs for over a Year at Industrial Plant in Ontario

20.08.2024 -

A large steel manufacturing company has experienced longer pump life and lower maintenance since installing Qdos chemical metering and dosing pumps in a defoamer application at an industrial plant in Ontario, Canada. The company has benefited from a higher return on investment (ROI) since two Qdos peristaltic pumps replaced diaphragm pumps from another pump manufacturer.
