Robbins & Myers Energy Services Group offers the Guardian II Variable Speed Drive (VFD), an advanced technology digital solution for effective oil and gas well production control.

The Guardian II VFD is specifically designed to operate PCP systems in the harshest conditions with maximum efficiency and flexibility. Integrated inside the Guardian II is a PCP Speed Controller. This integration with the VFD and PCP Speed Controller means the Guardian II is ready to take on demanding tasks with simple startup steps.

The PCP Speed Controller was designed to minimize downtime and to provide the logic and control functionality needed to diagnose, prevent, adjust and repair problems that may occur in the field without multiple trips to the site. Performance and production information is stored in a local (onsite) data repository which can easily be displayed in a simple browser-based user interface. This can be used as an analysis aid to determine if the action was correct or if any operational parameters need to be adjusted.

Pump optimization is implemented in the Guardian II system to maximize the production available while still maximizing pump life. R&M Energy Services Group provides a variety of downhole and surface sensor systems that easily integrate with the Guardian II system. Customer provided systems can be integrated by using built-in input terminals that can interface with virtually any system currently available.

PCP applications can be very dynamic and change in a manner of seconds. Guardian II has been built by using the vast pumping and control experience of R&M Energy Services Group. It has built automation systems that provide the safe operating conditions and high pump run life expected by demanding customers.
