Wilden announced that its A100 Advanced Plastic air-operated double-diaphragm pumps can now be electronically controlled with a PLC for use where an electric interface is needed. This capability makes them ideal for applications where batching is needed.

Wilden’s Advanced Series pumps were specifically designed for maximum performance and efficiency. Their bolted configuration ensures total product containment, while the redesigned liquid path reduces internal friction to maximize output and efficiency. The 13-mm (1/2”) A100 pumps have flow rates to 42.4 lpm (11.2 gpm) with maximum pressures to 8.6 bar (125 psi). They can handle solids with maximum diameters of 6.6 mm (0.06”) with a maximum dry suction-lift capability of 6.6 mm (21.5”).

Additionally, the A100 Series pumps are equipped with Wilden’s Accu-Flo technology, which employs a two-position, four-way solenoid valve that has a single operator and spring return. While air pressure is used to fill the air chambers and displace the diaphragms, electrical impulses dictate the stroke rate. By alternately supplying and removing electrical power, the Accu-Flo reciprocates the back-and-forth motion that is standard in air-operated pumps.
