Iwaki America announces their expanded RD brushless 24V DC canned motor designs. Four new sizes provide application specific solutions minimizing power consumption and reducing size to best meet OEM system designs.

The RD Series consist of a wide-range of compact direct drive canned motor pumps with flows to 5 GPM and heads to 34 FT. Compact size and multiple mounting configurations allow the design engineer to mount the pump right where it is needed. The elimination of motor bearings minimizes noise and improves efficiencies for maximum product life and expanded capabilities.

RD is a compact canned motor design with only one moving part. Advanced brushless DC drive technology ensures trouble-free operation. Intelligent engineering offers pump life in excess of 25K hours. RD’s elimination of separate motor and bearings results in the most compact envelope available. Heads up installation is possible providing maximum installation flexibility. With only one moving part there are no parts kits to worry about because the pump is maintenance-free.

Recognizing the trend towards DC power and compact, long-life pumps for fluid recirculation, the RD series address all of the design criteria critical to OEM systems. The new pumps are smaller, offer higher pressure, and last significantly longer than any traditional designs.

These pumps are perfect for all thermal management needs including; medical laser cooling, X-ray & CRT cooling, heating & cooling blankets, laser marking systems, and fuel cell reformer feed.
