KSB won this year's 'Useware' prize for the development of a user-friendly operating concept and its implementation in PumpExpert.

PumpExpert is a device for pump monitoring, diagnosis and transfer of relevant information. Prof. Dr. Detlef Zühlke, head of the conference and jury spokesman, emphasized the excellent indicating and operating concept behind this instrument: a clear display, straightforward four-button operation, and software which allows the transfer of data to both PDA and PC. Moreover, Zühlke praised the broad, interdisciplinary participation of engineers, marketing experts, scientists and designers involved in the development of PumpExpert.

Useware is a conference of the VDI/VDE association for measuring and automation technology for experts from industry and the sciences. The Useware prize is awarded to innovative and user-oriented technical developments.
