Weir Services Secure Two Contracts with Amerada Hess

Weir Services have recently been awarded two major contracts by US oil and gas exploration and production company Amerada Hess.

The first contract is for the supply, installation and project management of a Water Injection Upgrade System on the South Arne Platform located in the Danish sector of the North Sea. Working with their colleagues in the Weir Clear Liquid Division, the Services team will undertake an innovative program to ensure the platform maintains maximum output during the upgrade. The project is scheduled for completion early in 2004.

Weir Services have also secured a five year contract covering the Amerada Hess operated South Arne and AH001 facilities in the North Sea. The work covers the management and maintenance of all pumps and seals including offshore support and will be managed between Weir Services operations in Aberdeen, Alloa and Glasgow.

Together these contracts are worth several million pounds.

Robert Bald, Director Oil & Gas, commented "These contracts demonstrate our ability to supply innovative engineering solutions, manage projects on tight timescales and supply an effective maintenance strategy that meets the business needs of our customer."
