ACHEMA News 2003 - Part 3

In its third part about the ACHEMA 2003, the online pump magazine reports impeller.net about news regarding the dosing and vacuum pump technology.

Dosing Pumps

Beinlich Pumpen extends its product range by dosing pumps operating with lower speed. The pumps are available in different materials and a mag-drive version can be delivered as well. Customer requirements, whether individual components or complete systems, are proposed and produced within a short development time.

Pompe Cucchi introduces the new gear dosing pump series N. These pumps are suitable for all those applications in which not only a constant pressure is required, but also considerable precision in dosage. The magnetic coupled pumps are available in different materials, such as AISI 316L, PTFE, Hastelloy or Titanium. The viscosity range reaches from 0,3 cps up to 200000 cps.

With MAGDOS LT Lutz-Jesco has developed a solenoid-driven diaphragm pump with a state of the art microprocessor-controlled electronics. The electronics provide power to the pump drive depending on the system's pressure requirements thus reducing power consumption, noise level and heat generation.

The fine control dosing pump TPL of Tacmina is a pulsation free diaphragm pump. The leakage free construction features a long-life diaphragm. It is ideal to transfer low-viscosity liquids and slurries.

Vacuum Pumps

Reliable control of the evaporation process and high recovery - even for low-boiling solvents - are outstanding features of the LABOXACT vacuum systems from KNF Neuberger. They were developed specifically for work with rotary evaporators.

Pfeiffer Vacuum, the inventor of the turbopump, has created the highest performance pump in its class by the world's first maglev pump with integrated controller. Through advanced rotor design, Pfeiffer Vacuum is able to offer a pump with high pumping speed (2100 l/s for N2), high compression for light gasses (10e4 for H2), and high heavy gas throughput (2500 sccm Ar) in a compact, safe, and reliable package.

The liquid-ring vacuum pumps TRVK/TRSK by Pompetravaini are now available with a flow of up to 30000 m3/h. Thanks to a special, variable discharge port the pumps of the TRVK series reach their optimum efficiency between 40 and 200 mbar. The TRSK series has its optimum operating range between 200 and 900 mbar.
