Side Channel Pump with Canned Motor for Use in Refrigeration Technology

SERO PumpSystems' self-priming side channel pump SEMIS® with canned motor

SERO PumpSystems´ self-priming side channel pump SEMIS® with canned motor is the ideal choice for the transfer of aggressive or toxic media. It has optimal efficiencies in the area between displacement pumps and centrifugal pumps.

The SEMIS is used whenever the required pump operation features are as follows:
- Delivery of low flows at high pressures
- Self-priming ability
- Transfer of gas entrainments (up to 50% gas contents)
- Extremely low NPSHR (partly below 0,5 m)
- Hermetically tight through canned motor

Many applications in refrigeration engineering require pumps to transfer volatile liquids near their boiling point. The SEMIS provides the answer to this problem, allowing troublefree operation at low life cycle costs. The pump within the designed range of operation plays an important role in view to process safety and cost efficiency.

The constructional design of the close coupled version is very easy to install: there is no need for alignment of motor and pump.
The pump parts in contact with the media are available in chemically resistant stainless steel and also in a priceworthy ductile iron version.
