Effective from 1 May of this year, KSB will take over thirty-eight former employees of Pörringer + Schindler GmbH (PSA) who will be employed at the production facility at Lünen.

They are currently being trained at a so-called employment and qualification company. It has been arranged that thirty-five employees will join KSB Aktiengesellschaft, while the remaining three will join the KSB Service GmbH staff.

Upon the insolvency of Pörringer + Schindler GmbH, the insolvency administrator transferred 54 of the 58 employees to the newly established employment and qualification company. On 15 November 2002, KSB took over the Lünen plant from the insolvent assets.

The plant specializes in the manufacture of gate valves and swing check valves for industrial and power station applications. KSB has already received several production orders, among them a large order for some 170 valves for a Hungarian plant. The present level of orders received should provide the factory with a good capacity utilization rate for the year 2003.
