HARLEYSVILLE, Pa., Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- William L. Kacin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Met-Pro Corporation (NYSE: MPR), announced today that James G. Board has been named Vice President and General Manager of the Company's Dean Pump and Fybroc Divisions, replacing Raymond J. De Hont, who has continued as Acting Vice President and General Manager since his appointment as Chief Operating Officer of Met-Pro Corporation in June 2000.
Mr. Board, age 47, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Engineering from Rensselar Polytechnic Institute in 1975 and has twenty-five years of sales, engineering and management experience in various rotating equipment fields, including pumps, fans and steam turbines. Mr. Board will operate from Fybroc's manufacturing facility in Telford, Pennsylvania, as did Mr. De Hont. Fybroc Division manufactures state-of-the-art fiberglass reinforced vinyl ester and epoxy resin pumps for pumping corrosive chemical liquids, organic solvents and seawater. Fybroc pumps are used extensively for a variety of industrial applications and are installed in a large number of saltwater public aquariums around the world. Dean Pump Division, Indianapolis, Indiana, is recognized worldwide for high quality pumps that handle a broad range of industrial applications. Dean pumps are particularly known for their rugged, heavy-duty construction and for exceptional performance in difficult and high-temperature applications. "The consolidation of the Dean Pump and Fybroc Divisions under one General Manager, one Sales Manager and one Purchasing Manager continues to result in improved sales and performance for both divisions," Kacin said.
