Effective decarbonization of German industry – and with it, the achievement of the climate targets with a secure energy supply at the same time – is unthinkable without the expansion of hydrogen technologies. Since they are a carbon-free energy source, they do not release any emissions during combustion.

A Qdos CWT (Conveying Wave Technology) chemical metering pump ran for over 21 months dosing chlorine at Ergon – West Virginia Inc.’s paraffinic refinery in Newell, West Virginia in the United States, after replacing a diaphragm pump which lasted less than half the time on average.

Yorkshire Water, which provides water services to 5 million people in England, was spending too much time managing pump blockages at hundreds of pumping stations. To solve the problem, the utility tested Xylem’s intelligent Flygt Concertor N pump at a problematic site. After the pump eliminated all blockages, Yorkshire Water has now deployed the pump at over 150 pump stations, decreasing reactive callouts by 51% and contributing to a 29% reduction in energy use.
