The announced acquisition of Cardo Flow Solutions was completed on July 29, 2011. For a total cash consideration of SEK 5.9 billion (CHF 852 million), Sulzer acquired one of the leading suppliers of pumps and related equipment in the attractive wastewater market.

Sulzer and Assa Abloy, the new majority owner of Cardo AB after a public offer concluded in March 2011, have signed an agreement for the acquisition of Cardo’s Flow Solutions business. The Board and the Executive Committee of Sulzer unanimously support this acquisition.

Cardo has acquired the Finnish company Kajaani Process Measurements Oy, which is one of Finland s leading manufacturers of sophisticated measuring instruments for the pulp and paper industry. The information is not deemed to be stock price sensitive information.

The board of directors of Cardo AB (publ) has resolved to utilize the authorization the board received from the annual general meeting to repurchase shares in the Company.

Cardo s division Wastewater Technology Solutions with its corporate brand ABS has entered into an agreement with Logan City Council, Queensland, Australia, on the delivery of ABS Aeration and mixing equipment for upgrading the Council s water treatment system.

Fredrik Jönsson, Senior Vice President Door & Logistics Solutions, will be leaving Cardo at his own request. Fredrik Jönsson will remain with the Company until mid-March.

A new Cardo is emerging. The business is developing according to plan with continuous improvement in performance and a focused change process. There is a strong platform for continued development as a customer-oriented solution provider and an industrial group with good growth.

At Cardo’s annual general meeting, the board was re-elected in its entirety and a resolution was passed increasing dividend to SEK 9 per share. President and CEO Peter Aru said that Cardo is well on its way to becoming an industrial group with strong growth with the positive developments in 2006.

Cardo has published the Interim Report, January – September 2006. The company reports a net sales of SEK 6,004 million (5,476), while positive earnings trend continues for all divisions.
