Tri-Ark Limited Introduces Blacoh Pulsation Dampners

23.02.2004 -

For 26 years, Blacoh Fluid Control has been taking the shock out of fluid flow in industrial and chemical transfer applications with their SENTRY Pulsation Dampeners, Surge Suppressors and Inlet Stabilizers. SENTRY protects pipes, valves, fittings and sensitive equipment from vibration and fatigue.

Eradicate Hose Abrasion

04.11.2004 -

Blacoh Fluid Control recently was contacted by a large manufacturer of bulk chemicals. They use air operated diaphragm pumps to load chemicals into tanker trucks through a 20’ flexible/ 3” reinforced hose that lies on a concrete floor.

Even Coverage in Spray Application

27.10.2004 -

Blacoh Fluid Control recently consulted with a decontamination facility that pumped acids through a series of 15° spray nozzles to rinse radiation from contaminated metals. However, the pulsating action of their reciprocating pumps caused uneven spray into the rinse tanks, and in many instances, the metals were not rinsed completely.

Pulsation Dampening No Pulp Fiction

18.10.2004 -

Blacoh Fluid Control was contacted by a major pulp & paper mill in the Northwest who used PCC unloading pumps. The reciprocating action of these air-operated pumps created violent pulsations that caused both pipe stress and mounting fatigue.

Increased Pump Diaphragm Life

22.09.2004 -

Recently, a manufacturer of metal soup cans located in New Jersey approached Blacoh Fluid Control with a problem. They were using 2″ air diaphragm pumps attached to the bottom of a 35′ tall tank to transfer a solution used to line the cans.

HI Updates Air-Operated Pumps Standard and Air-Operated Pumps Test Standard

22.02.2011 -

The Hydraulic Institute (HI) has updated the 2004 edition of the ANSI/HI standard on air-operated pumps and published Air-Operated Pumps ANSI/HI 10.1-10.5-2010. The updated standard is for air-operated pumps and includes positive displacement reciprocating pumps used for general liquid transfer. These pumps are usually driven by means of a compressed gas (usually air) from an outside source.
