Pfeiffer Vacuum Experiences Positive Business Development in the First Six Months of FY 2016
Pfeiffer Vacuum generated sales of € 222.9 million during the first half of 2016 while achieving an EBIT of € 26.9 million and a corresponding margin of 12.1 percent. This resulted in net income of € 18.7 million and led to earnings per share of € 1.89 for the first six months. The order intake during the reported period amounted to € 231.5 million.

GF kept in the first semester of 2016 its positive momentum. Sales reached CHF 1 863 million, 3 percent above the first six months of 2015. Adjusted for currency effects and acquisitions, growth stood at 2 percent. The operating result increased 20 percent to CHF 153 million.

Sulzer to Supply Feedwater Pumps for Nuclear Reactor in China
Sulzer has been awarded a contract for the delivery of main feedwater pumps and start-up feedwater pumps. The pumps will be installed in two nuclear reactors — Hualong No. 1 reactors — in China, owned by China Nuclear Power Engineering Company, Ltd. (CNPEC). Sulzer received this order in May 2016 and will complete the delivery of the equipment by the end of 2019.
Siemens to Supply Compressor Trains for Trans Adriatic Pipeline
Siemens has won an order from the Trans Adriatic Pipeline consortium for six 15-megawatt SGT-400-driven turbo compressor trains. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) will open up the so-called Southern Gas Corridor for Europe. Installation is scheduled for 2017 and the pipeline is expected to begin operating in late 2019.
Voith Modernizes Small Hydroelectric Power Station for One of the UK’s Largest Energy Suppliers
Technology Group Voith has won a contract to modernize the Mucomir small hydroelectric power station in Scotland. Operator is SSE, one of the largest energy suppliers in the UK. Voith oversees the building, installing and commissioning of the power stations turbine, the replacing of the digital governors and hydraulic units as well as the refurbishing of the generator. The construction works are set to be completed by the autumn of 2017.
Sulzer Wins Contract With French Nuclear Leader EDF for the Delivery of 28 Pumping Units
Electricité De France SA (EDF) and Sulzer signed a significant contract. Sulzer will install new pumps to increase safety systems in French nuclear power plants. The contract consists of qualifying a pump set prototype, manufacturing, and installing 28 pumping units over the next 15 years.
